Imperial Brands Partners With Honeywell To Digitally Transform Supply Chain Operations With Honeywell Track & Trace Solution

British multinational tobacco company to use Honeywell Track & Trace solution and comprehensive package of managed services to monitor and track the movement of goods within the supply chain on a real-time basis.

ATLANTA, Nov. 17, 2022 - Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) announced today that Imperial Brands, a British multinational tobacco company, has chosen Honeywell to provide the Honeywell Track & Trace solution (“Honeywell Track & Trace”) to digitalize and transform the monitoring and tracking of their supply chain operations.

The Honeywell Track & Trace software solution enables organizations to track products throughout their supply chains by providing real-time visibility and reporting of products within assets such as a vehicle, container, palette and packaging box. Imperial Brands has entered into a long-term agreement with Honeywell to continue implementing Honeywell Track & Trace with analytics to enable traceability throughout its supply chain to improve operational efficiency and optimize inventory. Enhanced supply chain analytics will also provide better data to help support Imperial Brands’ compliance with country and region regulatory reporting requirements.

“Imperial Brands must have supply chain systems that can scale to meet the demands of thousands of users while processing the many billions of near-real-time annual transactions,” said Sönke Andrees, Imperial Brands, Head of CoE Coding & Tracking. “Honeywell Track & Trace has demonstrated the reliability and performance of a tracking solution that can be scaled to meet the size and complexity of operations. It will help transform our operations and deliver increased visibility so that we can make better decisions in managing our supply chain.”

Honeywell Track & Trace offers serialization and tracking, which are important solutions for manufacturers, governments, regulators and consumers. End-to-end traceability is a key driver of sustainability, product lifecycle analysis, and helps intelligent supply chains to operate smarter, safer and more efficient. Through increased visibility, traceability solutions can also help prevent fraud from entering the supply chain, aiming to mitigate risk for the brand and deliver a measurable return on investment.

In addition to the cloud-based Honeywell Track & Trace solution, Honeywell will provide a comprehensive and integrated system of support, professional services, and governance to help Imperial’s business meet critical requirements for compliance and executing its global supply chain.

"Honeywell is proud of the work it is undertaking with Imperial Brands and other consumer product companies to deploy and enhance globally connected solutions to help our customers as they strive to achieve regulatory compliance, as well as drive digital transformation, operational efficiency and sustainability goals," said David Trice, chief product officer and general manager of Honeywell Forge. “The results we are achieving for our customers with the Honeywell Track and Trace solution speak for themselves. Combined with our vision for a global trust network, interconnected with quality management and supply chain optimization, we believe Honeywell and its customers will be well positioned to deliver the outcomes they require today as well as meet the upcoming challenges in their evolving industries.”
